~ Walk with a memory of the sea on your finger ~
Whale health is linked to and is a critical indicator of ocean health. Every year whales around the world are appearing ashore dead or in a critical state, with their stomachs full of plastic. The “deadliest predator in the sea”.
But whales are far from alone UNESCO estimates that 100,000 marine mammals die because of plastic pollution each year and a million seabirds.
Protecting the ocean is essential to preservative life on earth. Whales one big piece of it! On average, a whale throughout its lifetime captures the same amount of carbon as 1,000 trees.
With this piece we hope to remind the user how our cousins from the sea need us to reduce/stop our usage of plastic.
